Industrial Sales Director
Our latest client is a company who are leaders in Industrial Wastewater Treatment, Cleantech Water, Desalination and more. They are currently in the market for an experienced Director of Sales for the North American Industrial markets.
This is a key leadership role and will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and leading the sales team focused on clients in industrial markets, such as Semiconductors, Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, Food & Beverage, and Mining - reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the organization’s sales strategy for the industrial markets, aligning it with overall business goals and objectives.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
- Set clear sales targets and objectives, and create comprehensive sales plans to achieve them.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the sales department.
- Oversee and optimize the entire sales process, from lead generation and qualification to contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Ensure sales proposals and quotations align with client needs and budgets.
- Utilize market insights to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Foster strong relationships with key industry players and decision-makers.
- Skilfully negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progression.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of sales experience within the industrial water treatment sector in North America
- 3+ years of experience leading a cross functional sales teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of water treatment technologies, equipment, and processes
- Critical strategic thinking capabilities to drive innovation and market growth with a strong business acumen
- Proven leadership experience and a track record of enabling teams to excel

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
